| Petrotec, Sistemas de Pagamento, S.A. is proud to be a part, along with three other companies, the universe of the Petrotec Group. The PETROTEC Group is made by PETROTEC – Assistência Técnica ao ramo Petrolífero, S.A. (Oil industry Technical Assistance), the company that gave birth to it in 1983; by PETROASSIST – Assistência Electrónica, S.A. (Electronics Assistance); by PETROTEC, S.G.P.S., the Group Holding company, as well as several other branches overseas; and by PETROTEC, Sistemas de Pagamento, S.A. – Gestão Electrónica de Cartões (Cards Electronic Management).
The current activity of the PETROTEC Group extends from the production of equipment for the oil industry’s distribution and retail, fuel pumps, LPG (Auto Gas) as an alternate energy source, equipment for garages and service stations, automatic car wash machines, including research and development of hardware and software, especially conceived or adapted for each client’s requirements.
Following the market’s evolution, soon Petrotec widened its offer, having obtained in 1984 the approval for the manufacturing of pumps for liquid fuel by the Portuguese Ministry of Industry.
In 1985 it started its industrialization process for electronic fuel pumps, under the licence of the Dutch brand KOPPENS AUTOMATIC, leader in Europe and USA, consolidating its position as the only national manufacturer. From then on some of the major clients started including names as PETROGAL, SHELL, BP, MOBIL, and afterwards, with new players on the market, with ESSO, CEPSA, TOTAL, REPSOL, etc.
Post-service is largely assured both technically and logistically by PETROASSIST – Assistência Electrónica, S.A. – that, with an up-to-date vehicle fleet, allows the immediate solving of any problem. |
